Honduras Introduction
Honduras is located in the northern part of Central America, covering an area of 112,000 square kilometers. It is a mountainous country. On these mountains, dense forests grow. The forest area accounts for 45% of the country's area, mainly producing pine and redwood. Honduras borders the Caribbean Sea in the north and Fonseca Bay in the Pacific Ocean in the south. It borders Nicaragua and El Salvador to the east and south, and Guatemala to the west. Its coastline is 1,033 kilometers long. The coastal area has a tropical rain forest climate, and the central mountainous area is cool and dry. It is divided into two seasons throughout the year. The rainy season is from June to October, and the rest is the dry season. The national flag: It is a horizontal rectangle with a ratio of length to width of 2:1.
